That’s where the G-Plate comes in. Originally developed in response to requests from specialized user groups, the Reptilia G-Plate allows shooters to mount select Sig® optics on Glock® pistols without modifying the slide. Instead of machining the slide, the G-Plate replaces the factory rear sight and mounts directly into the Glock’s existing dovetail cut. The result is a secure, low-profile optic solution that preserves the original pistol while providing the advantages of a modern red dot.
A Different Approach to Pistol Optics
The firearms industry tends to treat slide milling as the default solution. But not everyone wants to permanently alter a pistol, or can’t. Some shooters are working with issued guns. The G-Plate was designed for those users. By utilizing the Glock rear sight dovetail, the system provides a reversible mounting solution that requires no machining, no replacement slide, and no permanent modifications to the firearm. Two Purpose-Built Configurations
Glock 43 + Sig ROMEOZero ELITE
The original G-Plate was developed for the Glock 43 and Sig ROMEOZero ELITE. Driven by a user group requirement for low-visibility applications, the design allowed the optic to be mounted directly to the pistol without altering the slide. The ROMEOZero ELITE’s integrated rear sight works in conjunction with the G-Plate’s built-in front sight post, preserving fixed sight capability while adding a red dot.
The system proved that a pistol optic didn’t necessarily require a milling machine.

Glock 19 + Sig ROMEO X
Building on that success, Reptilia expanded the concept to the Glock 19 and Sig ROMEO X Pro. Like the Glock 43 version, the plate replaces the factory rear sight and utilizes the existing dovetail cut to create a secure mounting interface. The integrated rear sight found on the ROMEO X pairs with the G-Plate’s front sight post, maintaining backup sight functionality without additional components.
The result is a streamlined optic solution that preserves the factory slide while taking advantage of one of the most advanced pistol optics currently available.

Backup Sights Matter
One of the most overlooked aspects of the G-Plate design is its approach to redundancy.
Many pistol optic setups require suppressor-height sights, aftermarket sight combinations, or specialized components to maintain backup sight capability. The G-Plate takes advantage of the integrated rear sight systems built into the ROMEOZero ELITE and ROMEO X, adding a matching front sight directly into the mount itself.
The result is a clean, simple solution with fewer parts and fewer potential failure points.
Built for Real Use
Both G-Plate models are precision machined from billet 17-4 stainless steel and finished with FNC (Nitride) for exceptional corrosion resistance and durability. Each includes a Nylok-patched stainless steel set screw for additional retention while weighing only 24 grams.

Who Is the G-Plate For?
