Q: Should I use LOCTITE® or other thread locker on the ROF-SAR screws or optic screws?

A: A small amount of LOCTITE® 222 (purple) can be used on the ROF-SAR screws, but is not necessary.
Do not apply any threadlocker on screws that interface with the optic body.

Q: What is the torque specification for the ROF-SAR?

A: We recommend 15 inch pounds, but refer to your scope owner’s manual, as the exact torque varies by brand and model. Tighten the ROF-SAR screws in an “X” pattern, taking care to ensure the gap between the top and bottom rings is even on both sides.
